Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry Palette Review & Swatches

 Ohh, I had this palette on my wishlist for ages and when I was determined to buy it, I couldn't find it anywhere. Months later by some miracle I found her and even on the mega sale for £15, so it was a destiny. Probably is now withdrawn from sale, so I don't know how useful this review will be, but you never know, maybe ABH will bring Sultry back again in the future: d.

Most of the Anastasia Beverly Hills palettes are definitely quite bold and colorful, only a typical day appropriate is Soft Glam in warm tones and of course Sultry in cooler shades. Costs £46 in the regular price but as I mentioned earlier I managed to get her for £15 wow. I wanted her for a long time precisely because of this tones, surprisingly it's not so easy to find such cool browns, so I don't understand why it is not a permanent product thanks to which they have a greater variation of options hmm. The design of the packaging is mega glam and elegant, appealing to me much more than, for example Jackie Aina or their standard velor. As each palette in this format has a mini mirror and a two-sided brush attached, which I don't like and don't use. Contains 7 mattes and 7 metallics, so that is half half split.

Pigmentation

Ohh all the shadows are richly pigmented, there is no problem with visibility on the eye lids but of course it will also depend on your skin tone.

Application

Matts are slightly powdery in the formulation, so when you pick up by the brush they gently crumble, causing fall out if you are not careful. You don't have to build them too much to achieve a saturated color, they are easy to blend, don't looks patchy even gray - Slate, they are generally very easy to work with. When it comes to metallics, the most glam effect can be achieved when they applied by the finger, on the primer or with a damp brush, while with dry one they loses deepness and intensity.

Usefulness

As you can see, the colors are neutral, kept in cool tones apart from a few shades. It will be perfect for a wedding, prom make-up or generally when we want to get traditional glam as well as for everyday to work or university. When it comes to the choice of colors, at first glance it seems to be dedicated to more light complexions, but it obviously lacks a light transitional brown that's why is not complete for me. Some shades are quite similar to each other, such as for example Cyborg to Pearl or Cinder to Teak, but this is something trully impossible to avoid with browns.

I waited a long time to buy this palette but I don't regret it. It's really beautiful, the colors are perfect and the eyeshadows look beautiful on the eyes. Of course, if I could, I would change a few things but overall it's a good palette. I don't understand why Anastasia Beverly Hills didn't make it as a permanent product because it would wonderfully complement their other color stories, especially Carli Bybel palette or Modern Renaissance. It will be a great option for both professional make-up artists and those less experienced who are looking for one good quality palette suitable for every occasion.
