Maybelline Cheek Heat Blush Review & Swatches

Cream cosmetics are currently mega in trends. Both drugstore and high-end brands release a lot of this type of blushes or bronzers, so I was very tempted to find out if it was something for me. Whether Maybelline Cheek Heat turned out to be a hit or a miss, you will find out in today's review.

On my blog, you could already see a lot of Maybelline cosmetics reviews, but somehow I forgot to give details about the brand itself, so I need to include it in todays post. ,,Maybelline or Maybelline New York is an American multinational cosmetics, skin care, fragrance and personal care company, based in New York City. It was founded in Chicago in 1914 and has been a subsidiary of French cosmetics company L'Oréal since 1996. The Maybelline Company was founded in Chicago by Thomas Lyle Williams in 1915. Williams noticed his older sister Mabel applying a mixture of Vaseline and coal dust to her eyelashes to give them a darker, fuller look. He adapted it with a chemistry set and produced a product sold locally called Lash-Brow-Ine. Williams renamed his eye beautifier Maybelline in her honor. In 1917, the company produced Maybelline Cake Mascara, "the first modern eye cosmetic for everyday use," and Ultra Lash, the first mass-market automatic, in the 1960s.''
Maybelline is one of the most popular and famous drugstore brands. I have the impression that even people who are in small extent interested in makeup know this name and maybe among their assortment they would look for something for a gift for a beloved ones. I also started my make-up adventure with Avon, Maybelline and Wibo so I have a fondness for her 🥰.

From Producer

A gel-cream blusher.
Made you blush! Maybelline’s Cheek Heat Water Infused Hydrating Gel Sheer Blusher is the perfect, gel-cream blusher for creating a fresh, luminous flush. The lightweight blusher can be worn sheer or built and blended to create a deeper look. Made using water infused colour pigments, the cream formula has a super hydrating finish that won’t clog the skin or look too heavy, making it ideal for drier skin types.

My Opinion

Maybelline Cheek Heat Blush has been released January 2020 so they are fresh on the market and cost £8.95 per 10 ml. Currently available in six color variants in both nude and peach tones. I honestly hesitated for a long time which shade to choose, but in the end the choice fell on Nude Burn. In real live it is rosy nude which will definitely be suitable only for people with a lighter complexion, with a dark one it will not be visible at all. It is not a mega-pigmented cosmetic, is very sheer, although it can be intensified with the next layer (but still not enough for dark complexions). It has a beautiful, luminous finish which makes the skin look radiant and healthy. It is such a typical summer glowy look for me. Will this finish emphasize the imperfections or the texture of the skin? Honestly, I am not sure because nothing pops up in these parts of my face, and after using Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant and other acids, my skin has smoothed out, so I don't know but there is such a risk. Due to the fact that it is not a pigmented blush and is not so much in the package, used regularly will unlikely last for too long. Formula is kind of gely, light and comfortable on the face. It's not sticky or patchy.

When it comes to the application, it all depends on the effect we want to achieve. If we like completely natural makeup no makeup application will take us literally a few seconds, while if we want to emphasize the apple cheeks to a visible level then it is a very time-consuming game to have an even shade on both sides. This is definitely a huge disadvantage, I prefer quick and simple solutions, and playing with building pigmentation and even application is the last thing I want to do.
