Morphe & Jaclyn Hill Dark Magic Vault Palette Review

Morphe & Jaclyn Hill  Dark Magic Vault Palette Review
Dark Magic Vault Palette Review

Today I will tell you a little about the probably the most controversial new release in the beauty industry, namely the Vault collection which was created in cooperation with Jaclyn Hill and Morphe.

The Vault collection is already the second collaboration between Jacklyn and Morphe brand. Their first common palette enjoyed great recognition and many people choose it as the best in their collection. This time it was not without a small scandal associated with Vault palettes because many people complained about their poor quality, so their sale was halted and the palettes reformulated. Throughout all this confusion, many people gave up the desire to buy them, but from the very beginning they caught my attention, so I decided to take them a chance.

Morphe & Jaclyn Hill Dark Magic Vault

The Vault collection contains 4 color variants Ring The Alarm- red, Bling Boss- purple, Dark Magic- green, Armed & Gorgeous, so everyone will find something suitable for them. Each of them costs £15, while the whole set £49, so for 4 pallets - 40 shades is a good price. I have to admit that the color scheme especially of two pallets I liked very much, but I was also attracted by the price because it's even lower than Zoeva's palette.
After thinking, I wanted to buy only Dark Magic but the shipping cost was £5 and I used the discount code of NIkki Tuttorials at -10% so it was more profitable to spend more and buy two what cost me £27 with free delivery.

In this post you will find a Dark Magic review, so if you are interesting in Bling Boss it will appear next time.
This palette contains 10 shades including 7 mats and 3 metallic. The packaging is with the mirror and made of white cardboard with golden details, so looks quite elegant but quickly gets dirty. As I mentioned before, each palette costs £15 for 16g so it's really affordable price. Currently they are available in England only on the Morphe website.

Pigmentation

A huge disappointment is the black shade which you need to add a few layers to get a even color, other shades don't cause such a problem. Metallic shadows are very soft but should be more shiny.

Application

It's not a palette easy and fast at work, so will not suitable for beginners. You have to use them very carefully to not create patches and the pigment would be evenly applied and blend. Definitely is not a go to palette when you have 5 minutes to work and you want create a quick and nice makeup, rather need patience and more effort to get a spectacular effect.

Lasting

Can stay without correction even 10h based on concealer, after this time slightly start to roll but not terribly

Usefulness

This is certainly not a palette for everyone and we will not able to do so much different makeups. It's definitely a great palette for all fans of the smoky and grunge looks.

To sum it up, this is not a bad palette but I honestly expected little bit more. It's this type of special care product with which we have to be more careful and gentler to handle, what doesn't suit me completely. I don't regret buying but I wouldn't spend more than £15. I hope that Bling Boss will be have a better quality.

What do you think about these palettes?
Do you like any cosmetics of this brand?
