The Ordinary Niacinamide And New Face Mask Review

The Ordinary is one of those brands that always pulls me over, 

and even when I promise to myself to try something else, I ends up with some of their product in the basket 😁.
 Today we will look closer at cosmetic that the entire Internet raves about and their total new launch.

Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

A dream come true for oily skin, this potent serum targets breakouts, minimises pores and decongests confused complexions by regulating sebum production. Featuring high concentrations of two of the most efficacious blemish-battling ingredients out there (niacinamide and zinc), this swiftly soothes skin and improves its overall health.

My Opinion

I was tempted by this product only because it was repeatedly mentioned by various people as their must have of this brand. It has the form of a colorless gel with a slightly sticky consistency, which can be used in the morning and evening, however I prefer more apply once before bedtime. I have combination skin and I don't like such a sticky feeling during the day. Costs £5 for 30ml and you can get it in many online stores. Because it is a product that shrinks the pores should not be used daily because it can cause dryness or irritation. I use this niacinamide something like every third day, although it's best to just observe your skin.
As for the effects, I noticed that my skin after using this product is much smoother, the texture is more even too and sebum has actually settled down as promised by the producer. Since I use it, I don't have much pimples and even if something will appear, it disappears very quickly. As for the effect on the pores, I did not notice their reduction, although they don't become larger and I don't have such a problem in new places. I am really satisfied with this result and will definitely buy the next packaging. If you have problematic skin and you struggle with uneven texture, small blotches, breakouts then it may be the perfect product for you.

Salicylic Acid 2% Masque

The first mask in The Ordinary’s cult-beloved range, this jelly-like mask is enriched with BHA (beta hydroxy acid) salicylic acid to gently exfoliate away pore-clogging debris and reduce inflammation – making it an excellent companion for congested, blemish-prone skin types. The jet-black hue comes courtesy of clarifying charcoal, which teams up with other clays to ensure a deep and thorough cleanse. The result? Smoother, clearer and more radiant skin after use!

This is one of the new product from The Ordinary which appeared in New Makeup Releases July. Initially, I wasn't planning to buy this mask but I was shopping online any way at drugstore which has the Ordinary range, so I said why not. Costs £9.90 for 50 ml, so it contains not that much compared to other face masks. The whole process of application is easy and pleasant thanks to the packaging in the form of a squeezed tube. It is a carbon mask, so as you can guess has a very black color and strong alcoholic scent. I have to admit that I am not a huge fan of coal masks, I prefer clay ones after which I see much better results. You can notice the cleansing after using it, slightly reduces sebum production and that is all when it comes to the effects I observed. This is not a fail, don't get me wrong, but it's nothing that you can't do your skin care routine without, more if you like this type of mask. I don't plan to buy it again, but I will definitely finishing to the last drop :)

Of course, like with all other brands, they have better and worse cosmetics but their prices are so attractive that even if something turns out to be a total fail there is no such big tragedy. Definitely soon another post will appear with The Ordinary because I just bought their iconic Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, so stay tune for review.
