Trying Olay Skin Care For The First Time / Worth Attention?

There are certain brands we've hearing about for years, we recognize them on store shelves, our mothers, sisters or friends use them and we don't even know why but we never tried them. This type of company is for me Olay. So I decided to change it and check out if deserves of her great reputation status and inclusion into my skin care routine.

I reminded about this brand when I was looking for some inexpensive, easily available eye cream because I just finished Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado and I didn't want to go crazy with expensive creams, I had some bigger expenses and I was more leaning to some budget option. Olay is ,,an American skin care brand owned by Procter & Gamble, Olay has come a long way from its humble South African beginnings. Known originally as “Oil of Olay,” in the 1950's Olay got its start by developing and releasing a single product marketed as having the ability to make its users look younger''. In the Uk their cosmetics you can get in many popular stores like Asda, Tesco, Wilko, Boots, Superdrug and of course online.

Their cosmetics are not the cheapest I would say that medium drugstore price range but you can often get Olay on all kinds of promotions. I just managed to find an offer - buy one and get second one for free, that's why I have reviews of two cosmetics for you today. This is my first contact with this brand, I know their creams are used by my mother and mother-in-law but both are not biggest enthusiasts of skin care, they rather buy what is on the promotion regardless of whether they like it or is suitable for them, so I didn't know what quality and effects I should expect: D .

Costs around £12 for 50 ml and to be honest I did not plan to buy it but I chose it as a free products to buying something else from their range. It has an extremely pleasant, delicate, mousse-creamy consistency that reminds me of the more dense iconic Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference.
I just love such formulas because they don't overload you too much, but they are still rich. It has a delicate creamy scent similar to Nivea, doesn't irritate, don't clog pores and is a very universal cream that will be suitable for probably all skin types. I use it only as described by the manufacturer as a night cream and works really great. My skin after night is soft, moisturized and so full from the inside (plumpy). Quickly absorbed and thanks to this mousse formula doesn't leave a greasy, sticky coating which I and my fiance loves. Really a huge surprise for me because I didn't expect it to be so good. If you are looking for something effective, nourishing but lighter than a traditional night cream then you will definitely love it😍

Unfortunately, I don't have such a favorable opinion about this cream, but it also can be cause because of my fault. Costs around £9 for 15ml and has the form of a gel that I just hate in the night eye creams. If I had read the manufacturer's description more carefully, I would have chosen a different cream from their range because if I like such formulas for everyday use then I prefer typical heavy, rich eye creams for the night. As for its anti-wrinkle / smoothing properties I haven't noticed any improvement but maybe would be necessary to use it much longer, for example a year or two. I am mainly looking for moisturizing in night creams and unfortunately it doesn't work well enough for me in this matter. Always my indicator is the outer corner of the eye, if the skin is red, chapped then I know that my eye cream is not enough nourishing for me. Already after the second day of using Anti-Wrinkle Eye Renewal Gel I noticed redness in this area, so I will definitely not buy it again. I hope that I will finish it fast because it's a shame to throw it away since I spent my money but from the other site it doesn't meet my expectations at all. On the Superdrug website had many positive reviews, so maybe everything depends on whether you are fan of rich night cream formulas or something lighter like gel. Unfortunately, completely doesn't meet my needs, so I need back to looking for my ideal. Let me know if you have found your perfect night eye cream, I am very curious what you recommend.
