Revolution Reloaded Red Alert Palette Review & Swatches

Revolution Reloaded Red Alert Palette Review & Swatches
Revolution Reloaded Red Alert

This is already my third palette from the Reloaded series and I don't exclude that not the last one hehe because their nice colours schemes and price point quite tempting. I like the previous two especially Iconic Division, so let's see if this one is just as good or has different quality then older sisters.

Currently, the Reloaded collection contains twenty three + 6 larger palettes with different color variations from which I have three: Iconic Division, Newtrals 2 and reviewed today Red Alert. I am convinced that in the future there will be even more because their low price attracts customers. In some of them you can also find replacements for popular palettes from Urban Decay, Anastasia Beverly Hills and others.

Revolution Reloaded palettes comparison

Sure, if I had to pick by myself I would choose a different color story because I have quite a lot of similar shades but I got it as a gift of which I am very happy. Costs around £5 for 15 x 0.04 oz. and has 11 mattes and 4 shimmers. The same as the previous ones is made of cheap plastic but for this price point we can't expect a designer packaging.

Pigmentation
When it comes to mattes I'm happy with them, they are quite well pigmented, just if you need get an really intense shade you have to build them up. Unfortunately, shimmers are the weakest side of this palette, they don't reflect the light, even applied on wet they don't give this wow effect. I have no idea why they still stick to this formula instead of replacing by the same one as in the Foil Frenzy Palette.

Application
Mattes behave the same as in other palettes, they don't cause me any problems and work with them is quite fast and pleasant. Shimmers whether applied dry or wet are not my favorite, this is the part of the palette that I skip and replace by shadows from other palettes/ brands. Perhaps if you like such a mega natural, unobtrusive glow then they will suit you.

Usefulness
The colors story of this palette are really girly, romantic, so if you like this type of look it will be cool also a cheap everyday option. Is not the most universal, the possibilities are limited but you can still figure out something really pretty. Certainly it is not a self-sufficient palette, even because of the poor quality of shimmers we also need to use other palettes or single shadows.

Generally, this is not a bad palette but nothing that I would rave about. I will be often reach for Red Alert? Realistically looking probably not because I have much better quality similar shadows but I'm glad I got it and had the opportunity to tried. If you want to buy something from the Reloaded line and you are not scared by grange, green shades, then Iconic Division was in my opinion better and appeals to me more.

What do you think about this palette?
