Beauty Bay Own Skin Care Range Review / Better Than The Ordinary❓

Beauty Bay Own Skin Care Range Review / Better Than The Ordinary❓
Beauty Bay Own Skin Care Range Review

Beauty Bay is an English online drugstore in which I probably shop most often, which is why I always gladly add something from their own brand to the cart. In general these are affordable, trendy and quite interesting products, therefore I am happy to review them. When I saw that they had released the skin care range, I knew I had to buy something.

Skin care products can be really expensive, which is why I enjoy discovering cheap but effective goodies. So far Beauty Bay has in their offer Clay Mask, Cleansing Gel, Moisturisers, Serums, Toner and Blemish Stickers whose prices range from £5 to £7.50 and are only available on their website. They have a minimalist design thanks to which probably they could have slightly reduced their prices. The package includes a printed leaflet with a description of each of their products, which seemed a bit strange to me. Rather, manufacturers generally provide information only about this particular cosmetic, but probably it was more convenient and cheaper for them to attach the same brochure to everything.

beauty bay Clay Mask opinion

I love clay masks and especially red and pink ones so I was happy when I saw them. Is in the form of prepared paste, so you don't need to mix with water, thanks to which we save time and the whole process is less messy. Costs £7.50 for 95 ml, definitely not the cheapest mask available on the market. It has a fairly watery consistency what has both pros and cons. It doesn't dry out so quickly on the face and has a longer useful life (will not dry out so quickly in the package) but it seems to me to be worst in quality. Usually, after just first use of clays, I saw improvement in my skin condition and sebum production but unfortunately nothing here😒. I have used it at least five times and unfortunately I didn't notice any effects, so I can recommend traditional clay masks in powder much more. I didn't experience any irritation but I saw that a lot of people complained about it on their store website, so better keep that in mind.

What To Buy From Beauty Bay's Skincare Line

beauty bay Soothing Serum opinion

Niacinamide has become one of my favorite ingredients since last year, so I was wondering if this serum will be as good as The Ordinary one.
Both contains 10% niacinamide, however this one from Beauty Bay brings worse results for me maybe because of the copper. It has the form of a blue liquid runny gel with a quite intense fresh smell similar to mint which I didn't like very much. Costs £5 for 50 ml,  so for comparison the same as The Ordinary but it contains 20ml more product. When it comes to effects in Skinhit Soothing Serum are unfortunately not so spectacular. With regular use the texture of the skin slightly improved, but it also dried out a bit, which has never happened to me with niacinamide from The Ordinary. There, the result was stunning in a much shorter time, so I would say that the new Beauty Bay niacinamide serum is average and not worth the hype. If you are looking for this type of cosmetic then you will be much more satisfied with The Ordinary and unfortunately I will not buy this one again.

Formulated with niacinamide, a skincare go-to ingredient that helps to reduce the build-up of sebum that can lead to clogged pores, and copper, which which aids oil control and gives this serum a blue lagoon colour.

the best cheap Niacinamide serums on the market

I honestly hoped that I would be delighted by these products but I am unfortunately disappointed. Neither the mask nor serum will stay in my skin care routine permanently and I can't recommend them to you. Recently we can notice a kind of trend that a lot of brands are starting to release everything regardless of what they specialize in like a makeup, skin care, accessories etc. instead of focusing on what they do best. It supposed to be an alternative to The Ordinary but something went wrong in my opinion.

Have you bought or want to buy something from their skin care line?
Do you like to buy makeup, skin care, etc. from one brand or
do you trust more if they focus only on one thing?
