Elf Lip Products Formula Review

My lipstick collection after the project pan has shrunk so much that I even didn't have too many color options to choose from: D. I really wanted to buy the Elf Bit Size palette, so I took the opportunity to add to my basket some more lately launched lip products as well.

This year I want to do a little more reviews in the category that I had previously neglected and thanks to that make more reasonable shopping. Last year eye shadow palettes, foundations and skin care dominated, so it's nice to talk about lip products for a change. Generally, brands such as Elf I buy in Superdrug but currently due to the virus situation a lot of things can be ordered only with personal collection in store, so for the first time I did shopping on their official website in the UK. Above £25 they offer free shipping, have various types of discounts and I could even choose 2 products for free, so I was very happy. The waiting time for the shipment was also short, so I see only benefits: D. I chose for free a brush and lipstick so I can share with you today my opinion on their satin, matte and sheer formula and pick a favorite 😄.

Sheer Slick Lipstick 

This lipstick was probably the most interesting for me that's why I started to test her first. At the very beginning seemed to me that it would be something in the style of tint or balm, but it has a really good pigment that is already visible after 1 swipe. Costs £5 for 1.9 g and is available in six shades, I decided to pick up Orange Crush. This is more on the red side, something like strawberry red, I didn't have such a shade in my collection and suits great to every make-up, the more I'm happy with this choice. The packaging is narrow, sleek and looks like a typical drugstore lipstick for me, is nothing fency but still eye pleasing. Unfortunately, you have to be careful with the cap because it can open by itself and make a mess in your handbag etc. Has a satin finish right after applying, however this shine disappears quickly and becomes more satin but is still comfortable, light on the lips and not drying out. Last for about 3 hours without eating or drinking, it is not a long-lasting formula, but rather one of those that you need to reapplied from time to time. It's a pleasant lipstick, however after the manufacturer's description I was expecting something more shiny and juicy. Beautiful shade, quite good quality but it didn't steal my heart that much.

SRSLY Satin Lipstick

According to the manufacturer's description this is a lipstick with a satin finish, however for me it's a more comfortable matte, there is no creaminess and shine like satin. For me it's not a disadvantage, however if someone expects satin, may be disappointed. Doesn't dry out lips, doesn't make such a crust or internal white line, lips look very appetizing. Costs £3 for 3.5 g so it is a budget option, even Revolution's new collections are more expensive this days. The transparent packaging is a bit reminiscent of Kkw cream lipsticks and is currently very trendy which works even more on her favor. Has a convenient applicator, easy to evenly apply lipstick and effectively closing the cap. The packaging is solid and well-thought-out, you can easily put it in your handbag, pocket or take with you on holiday. Shade Nectar is an orange brown, which with my type of beauty and complexion looks flattering. I have a fairly delicate beauty, everyone says that I don't look on my age, that's why typical browns or blood reds totally not suit me and are overwhelming, but this shade is perfect. Elf also have in their range 9 other colors to choose from. Last around 4 / 4.5 hours without eating or drinking, with drinking around 2 / 3 and doesn't leave dirty marks on the glass or other surfaces, so is transferproof. In general, I am very happy with this formula and meets all my expectations. For this price is really hard to find better quality lipstick.

Moisturizing Lipstick

The last formula I have for you today is matte described as satin by Elf. As for the difference to the previous one, is that actually a little drier and immediately fully matte however still looks nice, it's not so unflattering dry matte but more elegant and extremely comfortable on the lips. I usually don't like matte finish because they give a feeling of tightness and unkempt lips, but not in this case. Despite the fact that this is a matte formula shades that I have Pink Minx (raspberry pink) has mini gold particles thanks to which will be perfect for the upcoming summer. The packaging is kept in a classic black, looks quite luxurious and even my fiance thought that from all of the three lipsticks this is the most expensive. Costs £4.50 for 3.4 g and is available in three shades. I was lucky because I got it for free :). Stays on 3.5 hours without eating or drinking. To sum up, I am really surprised how often I used her and how much we liked each other the more that I didn't even planing to buy it. I honestly don't see any cons, this is a super quality lipstick that could certainly cost more.

When it comes to my adventure with Elf lip products, I am truly impressed with the quality, shades and price point: d. Only the manufacturer's description of the finish was not always true. None of them turned out to be a fail but if I had to choose a favorite then it would be a SRSLY Satin and Sheer Slick the least I can recommend. Definitely Elf proves that cheap makeup can be amazing.
