The Worst Makeup Releases & Dramas Of 2020

The Worst Makeup Releases & Dramas Of 2020

In 2020, there are so many dramas and disappointing launches that if I waited for the end of the year like before, this post would be too long and many of you would not last until the end hehe: d. I decided to split it into two parts, which the next one will appear somehow in December. I hope you will like this kind of content and it will be a something interesting for you.

1. Urban Decay Wired Palette
Urban Decay Wired Palette

The Wired palette supposed to be an improved version of the older sister Electric, which was recall from sale. Unfortunately, as you can even see on the photo, the formula of the new eyeshadows and especially the pigmentation, is worse than before :(

2. Jeffree Star Cosmetics + Cremated Palette
jeffree star cosmetics

Things have got really hot around Jeffree this year, to the point where his brand Jeffree Star Cosmetics has now been recall from the Morphe stores. I am very curious how this case will turn out and if is a collapse of the brand or will soon return to the favor ?!

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Cremated Palette drama

When it comes to the palette itself, the name Cremated aroused the most controversy during the raging pandemic. This is not entirely appropriate but Jeffree probably thought that the drama would sell the best as always and made a mistake. Rather, there was not such a big boom for this palette and while the colors are interesting and different, there are too many eyeshadows similar to each other.

3. Fenty Snap Shadows Mix & Match
Fenty Snap Shadows Mix & Match

It was supposed to be a hit but unfortunately something went wrong. As about her foundations, lip glosses or primers you can hear on social medias all the time, while these palettes were quickly forgotten. I think Rihanna should work on her eyeshadow formula because this is the weakest point of the Fenty.

4. Naturium
Naturium

In this case, unfortunately the problem was not in bad quality or not adequate advertising, but simply lies ... For a few months, youtuber Susan Yara reviewed very positively and promoted the cosmetics of the Naturium brand, forgetting to mention a small detail, namely that she is her co-owner.

5. Colourpop Sailor Moon Collection
Colourpop Sailor Moon Collection

The Colourpop brand is rather unknown for scandals, shady dramas or inconsistencies in quality, and this is not the case here either. Many customers were outraged not because of the colors, prices or quality but availability. The Sailor Moon could only been shipped to US contiguous, Canada, Mexico, Australia, UK, and France which was a unpleasant surprise for fans of the brand and this cartoon. Certainly it was related to the license and copyright, but it actually turned out to be a bit lame ..

6. Makeup Revolution Moon Prism Collection

In this case, unfortunately Revolution back to the roots hehe and copied the packaging of the Lunar Beauty belonging to the popular YouTuber Manny Mua. Can't be denied that the components of the highlighters are practically identical .. Manny even addressed the whole situation in one of his videos in which he assured that he was the creator of this design and expressed his flustration.

7. Makeup Geek Rebrand
Makeup Geek Rebrand

It was supposed to be a step to bring Makeup Geek back to the top, but it didn't gain much popularity and interest. The whole idea of matrix matching was cool, however, are is truly been so innovative? Definitely MUG should focus on new collections, formulas, etc. and not on turning around one and the same, especially that the improved version of some eyeshadows, such as Corrupt was worse than the previous one.

8. Becca Zero No Pigment Virtual Foundation

Foundation without pigment? The idea itself seemed strange to me from the beginning and unfortunately the opinions of clients were also merciless. Becca definitely made the mistake of not advertising it as a primer because only in this task such a product makes sense.

9. Melt Millennial Pink Palette
Melt Millennial Pink Palette dupes

The colors of this palette are really ingenious and interesting, but unfortunately I haven't seen a single positive review. Everyone complained about the poor formula, hard to work with and too high price for this quality. It's a pity because had a real potential, so if you were interested in such color skim, a post with her replacements appeared some time ago :).

10. Morphe Jaclyn Hill Palette New Formula
Morphe Jaclyn Hill Palette New Formula

This palette has been on the market for several years, however thanks to Jen Luv the whole beauty community could find out that Morphe has secretly changed her formula. The palette currently available for sale is no longer the same quality palette as during premiere. What is most shocking and outrageous is the company's failure to inform that the formula is no longer vegan, which for many customers is a potential factor whether to buy or not. As we all know for a long time, Morphe is shady so I am not surprised by this situation😖.

Did you heard about all of these dramas?
What is the worst cosmetic you've bought this year?
