OG Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder Review & Swatches

Is It Truly Such A Good Powder? 💡
Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder are worth the hype? honest review

Recent reviews been more about the new collections, so the time for a classic that has been a bestseller for years and a holy grail for many makeup lovers. Let's take a look if does it really deserve such fame and is it worth spending £32 on?!

From Producer

Cult favorite and winner of multiple major awards, Laura Mercier's "best in beauty," #1 setting powder* is your go-to powder. Pros love the super smooth application, which goes on evenly, blends effortlessly and provides great wear. Sets makeup for 12 hours without adding weight or texture. This no-flashback formula is perfect for photos and creates a soft-focus effect to subtly blur the look of fine lines and imperfections.  This lightweight, finely-milled powder doesn't add weight or texture to skin. Doesn't settle into fine lines and never looks cakey.

My Opinion

My skin is: Combination, Irritate,  Spider veins, Dry cheeks, Oily T zone

✅It doesn't look dry
✅Comfortable to wear, you don't feel it at all
✅Smoothes, gives a delicate optical blure
✅Available in 2 capacities - 29g or 9.3g which is really nice to test the formula and spend a little less
✅The transparent shade doesn't give a white cast
✅You don't need a lot of under the eyes to set beautifully make-up
✅Suitable under the eyes and as a powder for setting cosmetics on the entire face
✅No flashback effect
✅Gets along well with various cosmetic formulas such as foundation, concealer etc.
✅Doesn't require any special application techniques and skills, it looks great when you applied by a brush, fluff or a sponge

⛔Price £32 or travel size  £16
⛔It doesn't have a sponge strainer, such as Huda or Zoeva, but only protruding holes, which looks cheap for me and is not so convenient in the application or to taking out the product
⛔Available in 3 colors which is not much compared to current standards
⛔It doesn't have mattifying properties, and as a powder for the whole face it will not work for combination skin struggling with the oily T-zone or oily complexion

↘Review Of:  Zoeva   Huda Beauty   Too Faced

Summary : 4.8 / 6

Overall, I am liked this powder, although I would recommend it much more for dry, normal or mature skin because when you have an oily T-zone, you don't use its full potential and usually people with such a problem wants more matte look than such a glowy / slightly sweaty. I understand why so many people rave about it, but I think that now you can find cheaper, similar formulas. If you are looking for something typically flattering under the eyes then check out Zoeva Authentik Skin Finishing Powder.

Have you tried this powder?
If yes, please let me know are you agree with my opinion.
Do you use one powder for whole face or two? <I like to use more mattifying on the T zone and light, hydrating formula under the eyes.>
