Revolution Vs The Ordinary & Eye Creams Formulas Comparison
Revolution Skincare has already appeared on my blog several times and it may not always be a hit but to be honest somehow I wanted more. I have recently picked up a peeling which is an alternative to The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution and another eye cream which I will also compare today to my beloved Nourishing Avocado Eye Cream.
Revolution 30% Aha + 1.5% Bha Peeling Solution
As you can see, Revolution Skincare gets her ideas from many cosmetic brands such as The Ordinary for example. Their best-selling product has been for many years AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution which I personally like very much, so this time I decided to buy its dupe from Revolution. Costs £9.95 per 30 ml and you can get it in just this one capacity variant and currently newer version of Multi Acid Peeling Solution in stores such as Beauty Bay, Zalando, Notino, Asos, Amazon and many more. It is an acid peeling, so you should be careful with its use and use it no more than twice a week. At the first contact, you can feel a burning sensation and such a slight discomfort, but when you build tolerance, you will stop feeling it. Should be apply on dry clean skin, hold it 10 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water.
As for the effects, in The Ordinary I saw them immediately, the skin was cleaned of all dirt, the pores were unblocked and with regular use it also had a beautiful effect on the smoothing of the skin texture, while in the case of this peeling from Revolution I don't see any difference. The consistency is much thinner and less pigmented. To be honest, I am not satisfied with this peeling and as soon I will finished it, I will definitely come back to that from The Ordinary because it costs similarly and in terms of quality is much better.
Firming Bakuchiol Eye Cream
I bought this cream because it was back then on sale and my beloved Nourishing Avocado was sold out so I thought why not give it a try. Costs £8 for 15 ml and has a fashionable, nice design like other creams in this series, purple is my favorite color so immediately draw my attention. Contains bakuchiol, a natural alternative to retinol.
When it comes to the consistency, is not creamy but rather a cream-gel hybrid. It doesn't get absorbed too quickly because of which it leaving such a grey, looking like bruises patches on the skin, so is more suitable for the night than for the day. Unfortunately, in the case of this cream the effect is rather negligible, it doesn't moisturize, doesn't beautify the area under the eyes, doesn't affect on wrinkles, truly doesn’t do the job and I gave it a lot of chances. I definitely recommend the green version with avocado much more from this series and as soon as I bought it again, my area under my eyes really recovered and looks much younger๐.
To sum up, unfortunately, this time none of the Revolution Skincare cosmetics made a good impression on me and in both cases the effect was negligible. It's a pity because I had great hopes that at least the peeling would be a nice alternative to The Ordinary and here such a bummer. I also encourage you to check out the previous reviews of the skin care cosmetics of this brand.
Have you tried these skincare dupes of popular brands from Revolution?
If you tried something, please let me know what you recommend and what not.

ReplyDeleteThey're ok, but they're not the best cosmetics I've ever had๐๐
DeleteI prefer Revolution of this sort, namely cosmetic rather than military:)
ReplyDeleteYour reviews of both the peeling and the eye cream seem credible. So is your recommendation of the avocado cream. Thanks.
