Pixi & Elf Skin Care
I am a huge fan of skin care because this is really the basis of good makeup. Of course, my routine would not be complete without the most relaxing step namely masking. That is why today I have reviews for you of the budget and more expensive options. If you are interested, I invite you to check out the rest part of this post.
I using face masks almost every other day, that's why I buy them quite often. I love both cleansing, moisturizing and rejuvenating. Recently, I have moved away a bit from powdered ones, I have to be honest become a bit too lazy for them, so I reach for ready ones more often, that's why I decided to buy masks from my two favorite brands - Pixi and Elf.
e.l.f. Hydrating Bubble Mask
This mask was on my wishlist for a long time but somehow I could not pull the trigger because for a drugstore product it's not a cheap. Costs £15 for 50g and you can get it online and in stores distributing the Elf such as Superdrug. This is a fizzy mask like an aspirin that transforms from gel into rising foam. I have never used such a bad boy before, the more I was impressed by the effect. During rising the foam you may feel intense tingling but is not unpleasant. The mask according to the manufacturer's recommendations should sit on the skin for about 5-10 minutes until bubbles begin to dissipate and it's very important to follow that because if you wait and hold it too long, the effect may be counterproductive. The skin after is smooth, soft, refreshed and as if it has been improved from the inside. I didn't notice that it affected somehow on imperfections, etc. so as to the cleansing aspect it certainly will not work as well as a mask dedicated to such properties for example with charcoal. Doesn't irritate or sensitize me, so I think that it will be suitable for all skin types. The packaging is also quite original because is in the form of a plastic container with a push up system. To extract the product, you have to press the lid several times. I noticed that sometimes the hole is clogged and you need to clean it to make it work, probably the residue of the gel transforms into this bubble and thus clogs. In general, the whole design looks elegant, simple but classic, much more expensive than it truly is. The only thing that may not appeal to everyone is very strong scent like male perfumes. I am extremely pleased with the results of this mask, I saw that they also have Clarifying Charcoal Bubble Mask versions which I would also love to try in the future. The Elf really surprises me lately and begins to be one of my favorite drugstore brands.

Cleanse and moisturize your skin with this Hydrating Bubble Mask. Watch as the gel fizzes into thousands of tiny bubbles that gently wash away dirt and clear out pores, leaving your skin with a hydrated glow.
All e.l.f. skincare products are free from Parabens, Sulfates, and Phthalates.
Pixi T-Zone Peel Off Mask
This is not my first contact with Pixi skin care, I already had tonic, peeling and rose cream. Peel & Polish I even bought several times, so I wanted more: d. T-Zone Peel Off Mask costs £18 for 45ml, so it is definitely a more expensive one. Of course you can sometimes get it on promotion 3 for 2 etc. especially in Boots but it happens not very often. Just a few years ago peel off masks were extremely popular, now they are definitely less but I just wanted something different. Has a formula of quite intensely fragrant in the initial application gel which after a few minutes freezes and creates such a slippery coating. During the congealing process, you can feel the tightening, so it is unlikely to be suitable for sensitive or very dry skin, and better listen to the manufacturer and use it only on the t zone.
Her huge downside is the fact that to be a peel off mask we need to apply a fairly thick layer. If it's too thin, then it don't want to break off at all and you just need to wash it off by water like a regular mask and lose all of the benefits. Until now, whenever I had even the cheapest disposable mask in a sachet, they peel off without a problem even with a minimal amount, so here something is not quite right with the formulation. When I peel off, I don't feel any pain, discomfort or irritation, so there is nothing to be afraid, that will be like those black charcoal face masks: d But again it doesn't take off evenly, you just have to do it piece by piece which is quite time consuming. As for the effects, I noticed the influence on the regulation of sebum secretion and a slight narrowing of the pores, but this is not a wow spectacular effect. In general, this is not a bad mask, but it didn't impress me to justify spending £18. For this price you can buy something better. From among those Pixi cosmetics that I had this mask is the least worth attention.
