Finally I Tried Revolution Skin Care

Revolution Skin Care Review
Revolution Skin Care worth the hype? Honest review

Finally, I had the opportunity to try the first brand of those with I want to get to know better in 2020, what really makes me happy because I thought that through lockdown it would be impossible. Revolution is probably well known for everyone, however their skin care sister brand has only been on the market around two years but quickly gained popularity thanks to similar cosmetics to The Ordinary and many others. Let's find out whether it's worth spending your coins and whether you can actually call their products a dupes.

Revolution Skin Care develops really quickly, they started with only 14 cosmetics but currently produce practically everything serums, creams, tonics, spf, masks, eye creams, cleansers, scrubs, oils, essence sprays, makeup remover, skincare tools and new hygiene line also their collections contain such popular ingredients as cbd oil, peptides, caffeine, acids and much more, regardless of the needs, skin type, age etc. everyone will find something for themselves. In addition is 100% cruelty free and has vegan options. Their assortment ranges from £4 to £35 and like all Revolution cosmetics or related companies you can easily find them online and stationary, often on a 3 for 2 offer, free product with purchase etc.

Revolution Skincare Nourishing Avocado Eye Cream
Revolution Skincare Nourishing Avocado Eye Cream

I bought this cream after recent failures from Olay and Mario Badescu, I thought that I have nothing to lose and it can't be worse hehe. Costs £8 for 15ml. The packaging is a standard plastic jar with a fashionable design that I really liked. I bought it online but certainly if I saw in the store this bright green packaging I would take it without thinking, is something designed for the eyes catching buyers hehe. Has a formula of a rich, nourishing cream that stays on the skin for some time and then absorbs without leaving a greasy film, so you can apply it under makeup, however have to wait a moment to sink in.
Has no scent and a slightly lime color, leaves the skin super moisturized, soft and I noticed that my fine lines around the eyes have become significantly less visible since I use this cream. Of course because of the name, formula and the whole avocado team is called as a dupe of Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado. Before buying I was skeptical but I actually see a lot of similarities, they have similar formulas and properties, honestly even Revolution suits me better because it doesn't give this matte coat about which I mentioned in the Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment review. I would describe it as a very close, even slightly improved and of course a much cheaper version of iconic Kiehls. If you like Kiehls or bother you this mattifying feeling then honestly buy Revolution. You don't lose anything and just save £16馃槷 . I am very happy with this cream and will definitely buy it again because my skin under eyes looks healthy, smooth and younger and it doesn't ruin my beauty budget.

Revolution Skincare 5% Glycolic Acid Tonic
Revolution Skincare 5% Glycolic Acid Tonic

This was the first cosmetic that interested me of course because of his similarity to the iconic Pixi Glow Tonic. Is available in concentrations of 2.5%, 5% but I bought second option and is perfect. After using it, I don't feel any burning, tingling or discomfort if you have such symptoms, it means that it may be too strong for you and better try smaller concentration. The packaging is fairly standard for this type of toners, it can be poured straight onto a hand or a cotton swab, depending on your preferences. Has an orange color a bit reminiscent of urine hehe and smells like mandelic acid, if you used it once you surely know what I mean (while this acid is not included in the ingredients list but unfortunately has Parfum). It's intense but in my opinion not disturbing. As for his function, I mainly noticed a significantly increased glow. The skin seems more full of life, healthier and so like glowy from the inside. Gently affects on smoothing the texture or healing imperfections, but not as effective as Pixi Glow Tonic. Qualitatively Pixi seems better to me and is not much more expensive because cost £18 - 250ml where Revolution £10 - 200ml. If your main goal is to: keep your skin in check, radiant skin but not fighting with already existing issues then is no sense to pay more for Pixi. If I had to make a acids tonics ranking which I have used so far, it would be first from Benton, Pixi, Revolution Skin Care, The Ordinary and last Norel. I absolutely don't regret buying it and I think is a decent drugstore option but you can find more effective ones.

Revolution Skincare Green Tea & Walnut Exfoliating Face Mask

I got this mask for free when I bought 2 their cosmetics, the more I am happy because I was planning to buy some face mask from them anyway. At a regular price costs £8 for 50 ml, so somewhere in the middle, you can find more expensive but also cheaper ones. The packaging is a glass jar from which you have to pick up the product by your fingers or using a spatula. Has a very minty, refreshing scent which is why I like to apply it more during my weekend morning spa routine. As the name suggests, this is an exfoliating mask, so it contains micro particles that are not sharp but also not mega delicate so it will not be suitable for sensitive skin. I use it only once a week and I wouldn't advise you to doing more often to not dry out and irritate your skin. After applying, you can feel a gentle pulling similar to clay. The skin after is cleansed, soft and refreshed, doesn't cause irritation, burning, etc. but as I mentioned earlier, it shouldn't be used too often or massaged too rave. Particularly will be suitable for oily, acne prone and combination complexion due to the content of rich in antioxidants green tea that has the detoxify, brighting and anti-aging properties.

revolution face mask review

To sum up, I am truly satisfied with all these products and I will certainly buy some others from their range in the future, surly not these popular perfumed mists but maybe some masks, face cream or spf. Generally, this is not a brand that will give you a luxury experience, seems to me more dedicated to younger recipients and such a Instagram friendly if you understand me, which of course doesn't bother me. If I had access to this type of skin care or ingredients when I was a teenager, I wouldn struggle with less skin problems and have more knowledge in this area much earlier, which is a big plus. If any cosmetic from Revolution Skin Care seems suitable for your skin or is a potential dupe for a more expensive cosmetic that you love then give them a chance, maybe you will find your new must haves just like me.
